When the peace kicks in,

so does your beating heart

but until that moment,

the solace of a battling soul

remains all I choose to know.

Yet the choice is not a want,

rather a need,

an addition,

with a home.

Someone give me the tinder,

someone give me a match,

and i’ll set it ablaze.

I’ll watch the red glow brighter

and brighter, the flames

fighting each other.

A mirror of my mind,
